Public Participation Policy

Speaking to Council

• At the beginning of each Council meeting there is an opportunity for citizens to come before the council and speak on any topic that is not already on the agenda. You MUST sign up to speak three (3) hours before the meeting either in person or by submitting a request to the City Secretary at [email protected].

How do I place an item on the agenda?

• Please contact the City Secretary at (254) 647-3522 for information and timeline for an item being put on an agenda for a scheduled council meeting. Note: There is a 72 hour posting requirement for Council Meeting agendas. All items requiring council action or deliberation must be posted in accordance with law. In most cases, all information must be submitted by 5:00 pm six (6) business days prior to the scheduled meeting.
